Well, the waitress is the one that told us that it was a base for the broth.
I think the staff should be more informed, besides that i did not like the soup and when asking for another broth they only had two. The one i had and another one that was even fishyer.
The thing that bothers me is that we still had to pay full price of both dishes, i have worked in many restaurants for many years, if a customer does not touch his food and you dont have a replacement for his dish you do not let them pay. And from what i know its a shame in Japanese culture to let your guest leave hungry, the kitchen did not make an effort to replace the broth or anything.

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant.
Me and my girlfriend went to eat at ramens brothers and ordered chicken and pork ramen, we both dont like fish but the soup had a strong fish taste so after asking about it we found out that they use fish as a base for the soup wich was not noted on the menu. There was no alternetive as they said all of the soups were fish based. We both only had one bite and left hungry but they still made use pay the full price of both dishes.- Eten & drinken 1
