When in Hoorn, we eat in the Hoofdtoren. Spectacular views over the harbour and Markermeer. The food is of a high standard, but can still provide options for children.

Worth a visit if you're in Hoorn.

We have eaten in the Zeilhoek many times, each time the service has been very friendly, very accommodating and attentive. It is an excellent place to go for a long gezellig meal for the evening.

The food and menu is of a much higher standard than the average restaurant, providing a fresh menu that includes old favourites (spare ribs, sate) and more adventurous dishes. Despite the high quality, the price remains comparable to other restaurants.

The restaurant overlooks the Monnikendammergat, providing spectacular views over the water.

TL;DR: Excellent service, quality of food and atmosphere. One of our favourite spots.
