Shah Jahan in Amsterdam

It is extremely difficult to find a good Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. To such degree that after a couple of years here I have decided to, and successfully learnt to cook Indian very very well. As a result we don't even try any Indian places any more. This time was by invitation so 'had no choice'. And, I'm surprised to say it myself, it was ok! I actually finished my food with pleasure. The naans we had were rather nice. Didn't try much else but the lamb jalfrezi I had was relatively fresh and good tasting. If someone is dying for Indian and finds themselves in Amsterdam, you can come here. The staff are very nice, helpful and friendly, and the food so far seemed ok. It was not really an earth shuttering expeience but I may come back!
