De Watertoren in Rotterdam

The building, where the restaurant is located on the ground floor, is a beautiful period water tower. The interior of the restaurant is cozy but too many dark painted walls make it feel slightly oppressive. While I appreciate that the owners want to create an experience for guests, the wait between courses was excessive. Most people do go to restaurants because they are hungry! The food was very good though, a gorgeous blend of aromas and flavours. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Irish whiskey we had at the end of the evening was perfect!
