Le'moene in Amsterdam

Yesterday I went for dinner with a friend at this Syrian restaurant, they are in an old school with a beautiful terrace, if they would maintain it. It's self-service so you have to pick up your plates and drinks etc. inside they say. We chose the most expensive meal for 2-3 people, also because it looks fantastic in the pictures. The food was tasty but quite expensive for what you get. The owner was disinterested, the beer was lukewarm, you don't get a plate or cutlery, the tables are dirty, cutlery we got later because it was very difficult to eat. The food in the photos on the site is much more extensive than the reality. The toilet was broken. My girlfriend was totally stressed when a very large rat walked by and crawled beside the door under the restaurant. With some love and little effort you can make a beautiful place there with good service under the thick platane trees. There is nothing in/near the restaurant to justify the high price.
